Performance
Originally from County Durham, Sarah’s solo performances to date have included live BBC Radio broadcasts and appearances in venues throughout the UK (Royal Academy of Music, Durham Cathedral, Harewood House, Leeds University Great Hall, amongst many others). A former member of Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers (dir. James Lancelot), Sarah currently sings as a soloist and chorus member of both Leeds Baroque Choir (dir. Prof. Peter Holman) and St. Peter's Singers (dir. Dr Simon Lindley). Sarah was a founder member of Harry Christopher's Genesis Sixteen choral training initiative (2011).
In 2014 Sarah gained her PhD in historical musicology, specifically looking at vocal performance during the long nineteenth century. She regularly sings oratorio and concert works for choral societies and other ensembles throughout Yorkshire and beyond.
